Our Story

The vision for the first Exhale Weekend came from personal focused weeks of prayer in early 2016. I had a burden for women to find freedom to walk fully in God's plans and purposes and felt the Lord leading me to create a space for women to get away, rest, and receive.

So many around me were asking the same questions about calling, purpose, meaning, connection. And so many felt alone. It broke my heart because I remembered a season when I felt incredibly isolated, and it was in that season where the enemy wreaked havoc on my family. But God won. He always wins and I have a strong desire to see everyone live in the freedom, power, and authority that Jesus gives us as Believers.

Exhale 2016 was a weekend in Leipers Fork, TN in a story book hillside barn. It was an unforgettable two days where forty women gathered. The weekend was filled with encouragement, connecting, scripture focused teachings, worship, and amazing food. Community doesn't just happen. It flourishes in a safe place of engagement. We experienced community in a way only God could have orchestrated. Women who attended wanted to stay connected and left with a strong desire to invite others in.

Exhale Women was birthed.

We just held Exhale Weekend 2017 where two hundred women gathered for an unbelievable weekend that went beyond our hopes and expectations.

We all have a need for deep connection and understanding. From the earliest scriptures, even in the temporary tabernacle, the table was a place of gathering and sharing. I'm inviting you to the table of Exhale Women. This is a safe, authentic, God and scripture focused place to connect and be encouraged to live out God’s purposes and best plan for your life

You are loved and He is able,

Hi! I'm Anna Lise, daughter to Holly and Mark Newton. I live in Austin, Texas with my husband as well as our first and ever growing baby (due in July '17! Yay!).

It's entirely a joy to be a part of Exhale Women. For the past five years, I have continued to encounter God's hand re-form and restore all that was lost and broken - where I could begin to recount His mercies - the ways are endless.

It's my privilege to stand with multi generational women and journey towards a life of exhaling: leaning into God's unforced rhythms of grace. My passion is to help my generation connect with the generations ahead of us and the ones behind us, as well as cross lines of impossibilities with others through the power of prayer and HIS presence. I desire to help connect others to the heart of God. Nothing is ever too far gone or too broken. I thank Jesus for the dream gift that is Exhale Women and the part of the story that we all get to play.
