EXHALE 2016

The inaugural Exhale Weekend was held in Leipers Fork, Tennessee in a story book setting on a rolling hillside in a rustic barn. The space was intentionally created to provide a place for women to come rest and receive. A place to gather, worship, laugh, pray, and talk about what it looks like to lean into the unforced rhythms of Jesus's grace focusing on Matthew 11:28-30.

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me, watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." Matthew 11:28-30 (The MSG)

EXHALE 2016 TESTIMONIES

"It’s funny how God uses experiences in ways that we can’t even imagine. I went to get my tank filled up, which happened, but He really used it for me to share with someone else which in turn saved her marriage. Sibi’s talk on forgiveness was relayed and God used that at THE most opportune time to buoy a friend that was about to give in. He’s so good, so faithful!! How He weaves us together and uses our experiences to bless others is perfection!"

"The Exhale Retreat was a nurturing experience for me. Every moment was so filled with GOD's abundant Love and Life for us. I came to the Retreat with a need to be spiritually nourished and refreshed. The setting was beautiful. The meals were presented beautifully and were delicious. The stories and the songs invited my soul to go deeper. I brought back home with me the gift of spiritual confidence and strength. I am greatly encouraged to believe in my dreams, because I am His daughter. Thank you for the inspirational experience that the Exhale Retreat provided for me!"

"I didn't realize I was holding my breath until I ascended a long driveway that lead to the Exhale retreat and caught a glimpse of the sun setting over the breathtaking barn. Adorned with string lights, candles, burlap, fresh white flowers, and chandeliers, entering the barn was like stepping into my personal paradise. I cannot say enough about my experience at The Exhale retreat. Holly Newton and her hosts vulnerably shared their hearts and created a safe environment for everyone in attendance to do the same. Jesus showed up at Exhale in the most magical way and I am counting down the months until the second retreat!"

After, all of the changes that have been going through this year I was on empty.  When my friend, Sarah McKinnis, mentioned Exhale 2016 I was excited. From the time, we walked in you could feel God ushering us into his presence. It was like was like each detail was customized for this group of women.  The beauty of the décor was beautiful. The setting could not have been more perfect.
For me, Exhale Weekend was a chance to hear from God without all the noise of daily life.  I was able to worship and not worry about my problems.  I made new friendships I did not know I needed.  I had real conversations without fear of being judged.  I heard authentic women that had been through the storm but found peace and strength in God.  I learned about God and His perfect plan for my life.  Exhale was truly what I needed.
Thank you, Holly for following the voice of God and the vision He gave you.
